Gladiators have enchanted my imagination ever since I was a young girl and first learned about them in history class while on a trip to the museum to see a special exhibit about ancient Rome. So you can imagine my delight now that I have been able to venture to Pensacola FL and stay in a luxurious corporate housing in Pensacola from Corporate Accommodations of NW Florida while taking in the newest exhibit for Gladiatorial paraphernalia to have opened in the last 10 years!
It seemed to me that while in school, almost every subject would somehow wind its way back to the history of Rome and Gladiators. I could connect the dots in any lesson to something that I had read or seen about the ancient sparring pits or the economic impact of the games, or even the clothing that ancient Romans would wear to spectate.
I realized that this was not simply an interest, but rather a full-blown passion when I first got upset when a friend of mine misconstrued the order of events in the downfall of Rome and misquoted Caesar’s famous words to Marcus Brutus as being a love note. Though in hindsight, I can see that she was just trying to wind me up for fun.
Nevertheless, now that I am free to lead my own life in pursuit of more Gladiatorial knowledge, I am thrilled to be able to see this new exhibit in Pensacola FL while also enjoying myself some rest and relaxation courtesy of Corporate Accommodations of NW Florida with their stunning corporate housing in Pensacola.
