I learned much too late the importance of compound interest and the importance of saving money early on and investing it in order to make money in old age. That’s why I now find myself in Montreal Quebec Canada looking for a new home because my last one became too expensive, but luckily I have Gesthab with their furnished temporary housing in Montreal to support me while I look.
It seems to me that the concept of money management and investing is a lesson kept by those who have wealth. I never learned in school that simply saving money in the bank will actually lose me money due to inflation, and that only by investing my money into low-risk mutual funds can I actually protect my livelihood.

I would say to any person regardless of age, but especially those who are under 30, that you need to learn about finance in order to have a successful life and to avoid hardship down the road. Simply earning a salary and having a savings account are no longer enough to survive.
