While being a hand model isn’t necessarily the most glamorous of modeling positions, I get to travel to Tampa FL occasionally for shoots and whatnot which are always really cool! And one of the best parts about the whole experience is that I am always put up in my very own corporate furnished apartment in Tampa through Avenida Suites.
Starting out as an actor, I have been trying to land whatever gigs that I can ever since I was in high school. Auditioning for everything from films, to plays, to commercials, to modeling gigs, you name it! I’ve wanted to be a star since I was born.
I went to acting school and really tried to hone the craft so that I would have more experience and knowledge about the acting industry, but I’m starting to have my doubts about how important it was for my career. I paid a lot of money to learn those advanced techniques, but I was not met with any offers after I graduated, and I still need to wait in line for auditions.
But regardless, I am still happy doing the odd and ends when it comes to show biz, because at least I’m still trying to make a name for myself in this competitive field. So far, the hand modeling has been my saving grace and has spurred me to become a better model and talent in the hopes of landing larger and larger gigs.
Funny how it all happened, but I just noticed the ad calling for model auditions in the local paper, and after going to see what it was about, their team seemed to really like me and my hands! I waited a few weeks without hearing back, so I figured it wasn’t meant to be, but then one day I got a call asking if I’d be comfortable travelling to Tampa FL for a hand modeling job.
I couldn’t believe my luck! I immediately said yes and hopped in my car to drive there.
In hindsight, I realize I should have asked for better details about pay rates, hours, and accommodations, but I really lucked out when I showed up to the offices and they gave me a key to my corporate furnished apartment in Tampa. I knew in that instant that this was a very lucky break and I would do anything to keep riding it higher.
